Starting from 18months
The Tiki-taka Football School coaching philosophy is all about fun and core skill development going hand in hand. We strongly believe that building enjoyment for the game and core skills from as young as 18months old will help with the development of Scottish footballers, male and female, in future years.
Our main commitment is to bring a lasting love for the game to the children who attend our Football School and give them the best head start to becoming footballers.
We want to develop skills that can be used outside of the football pitch.
Football coaching is more than just teaching someone to kick a football or to master the game itself. A good coach is someone who helps to teach life skills like discipline, organisation, sharing and empathy. We see our responsibility as coaches to help develop good people as well as good players.
We want every child who walks into our classes to feel part of a team, probably one of the first organised teams that they will ever have been part of. When the children leave our Football School the only measure of our success is that they have enjoyed the experience and made some friendships.
Experienced Coaches
Our coaching team have all of the necessary vetting to be able to work in the 18 month to 9 year old coaching environment. They have all had a lifetime in the game with experience of the professional football environment and international caps at youth levels for Scotland.
Themed sessions with Fun at the core
If the children don’t enjoy the sessions they won’t learn anything. Our first priority is to make the classes a positive environment for learning. Each class is planned and has been adapted over the years to ensure that it has the right mixture of fun and development to allow the core skills of the game to be taught.
